A joint venture between Bonacci Infrastructure and GHD was responsible for the design of the Pacific Motorway upgrade between Springwood and the Loganlea Hyperdome.

A joint venture between Bonacci Infrastructure and GHD was responsible for the design of the Pacific Motorway upgrade between Springwood and the Loganlea Hyperdome. Bonacci Infrastructure carried out all structural design with GHD responsible for civil and highway. The contract was a design and construct contract, with a guaranteed maximum price.

The structural components included 2 parallel, 75m long bridges over the Motorway, 1 x 25m span bridge over the new Veloway and a cut and cover tunnel 18m wide x 50m long. In addition, several contiguous piled walls retaining up to 10m, reinforced earth walls, cast-in situ retaining walls, large traffic signs, noise walls, drainage structures and concrete barriers formed part of Bonacci Infrastructure’s design scope.
