The Coffs Harbour Water Treatment Plant project encompassed two sites, being the water treatment plant and the water reclamation plant. Bonacci Infrastructure completed the structural designs for both sites.

The sewage treatment plant site was situated over deeply founded clays which were prone to large long-term consolidation. A key structural design feature was the development of a three-dimensional analysis model and design for the monolithic, non-piled oxidation ditches and clarifiers which were constructed as part of the works.

The main structure at the water treatment plant site was the Dissolved Air Flotation Filtration (DAFF) facility which comprised an 8 metre high concrete structure with a building over.
