Inner Northern and South-East Queensland Busway Stations

Bonacci Infrastructure delivered the structural design and documentation for the Royal Children’s Hospital (Herston), Queensland University of Technology (Kelvin Grove), South Brisbane, Mater Hill, Woolloongabba, Buranda and Holland Park busway stations as part of the Inner Northern and South-East Queensland Busway Stations projects.

Bonacci Infrastructure delivered the structural design and documentation for the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH), Herston and Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Kelvin Grove busway stations in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Included in this package of work was the design of the canopy over the busway alignment and stations to mitigate golf ball impacts from the adjacent Victoria Park Golf Complex.

Bonacci Infrastructure also produced the structural design and documentation for the South Brisbane, Mater Hill, Woolloongabba, Buranda and Holland Park busway stations. This package included cross-over bridges with exposed structural arches and supporting beams, as well as cantilevering canopies over the platforms.

 

The busway station structures express strong architectural features. Bonacci Infrastructure carefully coordinated the structural design and detailing with architectural and Translink specifications to afford a highly durable and aesthetically pleasing result.
