Merrimac Wastewater Treatment Plant and Advanced Water Treatment Plant

Bonacci Infrastructure delivered the complete structural design for the Merrimac Wastewater Treatment Plant which was won as a “Competitive Alliance”. The Merrimac Advanced Water Treatment Plant was an extension of the original program of works for the Merrimac Wastewater Treatment Plant, completed as part of the Waterfuture Alliance.

Bonacci Infrastructure delivered the complete structural design for the Merrimac Wastewater Treatment Plant which was won as a “Competitive Alliance”. Key incremental developments on this project included a fully monolithic floor design for the clarifiers and our first monolithic reactor design which married a post-tensioned floor with conventionally reinforced walls. The works also included an extensive odour control facility and numerous extensions to existing structures.

 

The project was delivered to Gold Coast Water for an approximate contract value of $60 million.

The Merrimac Advanced Water Treatment Plant was an extension of the original program of works for the Merrimac Wastewater Treatment Plant, completed as part of the Waterfuture Alliance. Bonnaci Infrastructure completed the structural design for these works which were delivered to Gold Coast Water for an approximate contract value of $27 million.
