Bonacci Infrastructure delivered both the structural and civil design packages for the $71 million Rubyanna Wastewater Treatment Plant project, including:
- A new membrane bioreactor (57 x 47 metres) with post-tensioned floor.
- A new digester tank (56 x 20 metres). Through rigorous analysis and pour sequence staging, we were able to produce a design which was completely free of control joints. The unique benefits of this solution included improved constructability and the elimination of long-term maintenance costs associated with joint repair.
- Elevated inlet works, recycled water tank, chemical dosing facilities and various building structures.
- Bulk earthworks, access roads and civil pavements.
The works also encompassed an upgrade to the Rubyanna Regional Pump Station, including a new pump station / sewage receival chamber and associated infrastructure and civil works.
