Bonacci Infrastructure delivered the structural and civil design packages for upgrades to the existing Sunbury Recycled Water Plant. Structural works included a new 33 x 12 metre membrane tank, inlet works, bunded chemical storage and dosing areas, pump station, electrical switchroom and odour control facilities.
Bonacci Infrastructure also delivered the structural design for extensive modifications to the existing sedimentation tanks to enable them to be repurposed as a bioreactor. These tanks, which were originally constructed in the 1970’s, were in poor condition and suffered from joint failure, corroded reinforcing and areas of compromised concrete integrity.
Bonacci Infrastructure completed a series of condition assessments on the existing structures and provided comprehensive advice on the remedial works required to achieve the Client’s nominated design life.
Civil works completed as part of the project included bulk earthworks, stormwater and site drainage, and civil pavements.
