The Wetalla Water Alliance project featured a single tank housing both the main bioreactor and the anaerobic tank. The concept was developed through a value management workshop, and was 100 x 50 metres in size with an off-centre stitch joint. The off-centre joint meant that the project recorded our largest single slab pour at the time, being 900 cubic metres placed in approximately six hours. Other project features included developments in the design of monolithic clarifiers and a 140 metre long sludge solar drying hall.

The project was delivered to the Toowoomba City Council as a “Competitive Alliance” and had a contract value of approximately $36 million.
